We are very happy to welcome three new members, Andreas, Mingxuan and Jan Malte, who have recently joined the AutoML Group at LUH|AI. Each brings a strong background in their respective fields, and we are excited to have them strengthen our team.

Andreas Bentzen Wenje

Andreas joins us after completing his M.Sc. in Computer Science with a focus on Artificial Intelligence at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim (2023–2025). Since October 2025, Andreas has been part of our group, contributing his expertise in AI and systems research.

Mingxuan Che

Mingxuan joined the AutoML group in November 2025. Before joining LUH, he worked as a Research Engineer at the Learning Systems and Robotics Lab at the Technical University of Munich (2024–2025). He completed his M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering at TUM, where he worked on quantifying prior knowledge in learning-based control under Prof. Dr. Angela P. Schoellig.

Jan Malte Töpperwien

Jan Malte also joined the group in November 2025 as a PhD student in AutoML. His research interests span Automated Machine Learning, Dynamic Algorithm Configuration, and Reinforcement Learning. He previously completed his Master of Science in Data Science at Leibniz University Hannover (2022–2025).

We are excited to have Andreas, Mingxuan, and Jan Malte in the AutoML group and look forward to the new ideas and research directions they will bring. Welcome to LUH|AI!
