120 years ago, Hannah Arendt was born in Hannover. Her writings, particularly The Human Condition (Vita activa), offer a remarkably forward-looking perspective on challenges that resonate with our digital present.
As part of the HANNAH ARENDT TAGE 2026, hosted by the City of Hannover, heise will hold a free public panel discussion on September 23, 2026, addressing one of the most pressing questions of our time: How is AI changing the way we think and our sense of responsibility?
Joining the panel is Prof. Dr. Marius Lindauer (Leibniz University Hannover, Head of the AutoML Research Group). Together with Prof. Dr. Judith Simon (University of Hamburg, Ethics of Information Technology and member of the European Commission’s AI Act Scientific Panel) and Dr. Volker Zota (Editor-in-Chief, heise online / c’t magazin), he will discuss the technological, ethical, and societal dimensions of AI.
